The public will have a chance to see what the future holds for the Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy at an open house Thursday.

Based on current state analysis and evaluation, a document known as The Master Plan is being developed by a team of experts, with the eventual goal of building a state-of-the-art facility on the site of the current vets’ home.

At the open house Thursday, there will be exhibit boards for review, and the public will have the chance to take a survey, provide comment and feedback and to speak directly with the project team.

The open house will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. in Lippincott Hall on the grounds of the Veterans’ Home.
