One driver is hurt and the other is ticketed as the result of a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Gardner Expressway and R.J. Peters Drive in Quincy at 9:33 a.m. Friday.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Department reports that 22 year old Chance Harper-Agnew of Quincy was southbound, attempted to turn left onto R.J. Peters Drive and was struck by a northbound semi, driven by 43 year old Gerard Saxbury of Camp Point.

After the crash, the semi went through a fence at Gardner Denver, coming to rest on an air conditioning condenser. Harper-Agnew’s minivan caught fire, but Gardner Denver workers were able to put the fire out before emergency personnel arrived.

Saxbury was taken to Blessing Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Harper-Agnew refused treatment.

Harper-Agnew was ticketed for failure to yield turning left.
