Girl Hit by Car on R.J. Peters Drive Friday

A young girl suffers serious injuries when she is hit by a car at 8th and R.J. Peters Drive at 2:45 p.m. Friday.

Quincy Police report that a six year old girl was crossing R.J. Peters when she was struck by an eastbound vehicle.

The driver told police that the girl crossed right after truck passed him in the westbound lane.

The girl was taken to Blessing Hospital with injuries police describe as serious but not life threatening.
