One Dead Following Four Vehicle Crash in Ralls County

A four vehicle crash at Ralls County Route J and Route W at 9:27 Saturday morning claims the life of a Florida man.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says a car driven by 72 year old Penelope Stansberry of Huntsville failed to stop at a stop sign and hit a pickup driven by 39 year old Jared Sutter of Palmyra. Troopers say Sutter’s pickup went airborne and hit a car driven by 73 year old Herman Johnson of Saint Cloud Florida. Debris from that collision hit a car driven by 54 year old Kimberly Pool of Foley. Herman Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene by the Ralls County Coroner. Stansberry was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital and taken by Survival Flight Helicopter to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis for treatment of serious injuries. A passenger in the Sutter pickup—61 year old Patty Fischer of Palmyra was taken to Blessing Hospital in Quincy for treatment of serious injuries.
