A Hannibal woman pleaded guilty Monday to a reduced charge in connection with a 2016 stabbing incident.

In Marion County Court, 30 year old Victoria Norell pleaded guilty to first degree domestic assault resulting in serious physical injury. As a result, she was sentenced to 15 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections.
In exchange for the guilty plea, additional charges of attempted murder and armed criminal action were dropped.

The case was to have gone to trial next month.

Norell is alleged to have stabbed her boyfriend, 24 year old Zac Meyer, at least twice on December 3rd, 2016 at a home in the 400 block of Washington Street.
