New Hampshire Woman Arrested for Attempted Kidnapping

A New Hampshire woman is in custody in connection with an attempted kidnapping in Monroe County.

The Highway Patrol Division of Drug and Crime Control reports 20 year old Erica Johnson of Seabrook, New Hampshire traveled to Monroe County in April to meet an eleven year old Monroe County resident.

Johnson had allegedly been in contact with the juvenile for about four months on video gaming platforms and social media.

The police investigation determined Johnson came to Missouri to coerce the juvenile into returning to New Hampshire with her. She was unsuccessful in doing so.

Johnson was arrested Monday by the New Hampshire State Police.

She has been charged with attempted child kidnapping.

Johnson is being held on $50,000 bond, as she awaits extradition back to Missouri.
