This brings the total number of confirmed cases in Adams County to 216, with 147 of those cases still considered active.

With school scheduled to begin next month, health department officials urge everyone to wear masks and practice social distancing.

Elsewhere, the Pike County, Illinois Health Department reports its ninth confirmed COVID case, a female in her teens who is isolating at home.

Close contacts have been asked to quarantine for 14 days from their last contact with the positive case.
