Two new attorneys have been assigned to a Quincy man accused in a 2015 shooting death.

In Adams County Circuit Court Wednesday, Judge Robert Adrian assigned new representation for 56 year old Steven Gavin to avoid any appearance of a conflict of interest in the case.

Gavin is charged with four counts of first degree murder and one count of armed robbery.

Gavin is alleged to have shot Carlous Wires to death on November 23rd, 2015 in a disagreement over a drug deal.

A status hearing for Gavin is set for November 28th. The case is on the January jury trial docket.
