Road Closures

(NEMO)—A number of roads in Northeast Missouri remain closed due to high water:

Shelby County Route N at the North Fork of Salt River.

Route 61 at Alexandria remains closed.

Two Lewis County roads are closed:  A portion of Route B and Route V at the N. Fabius.

The Quincy Memorial Bridge is still closed, with traffic rerouted onto the Quincy Bayview Bridge.  The Quincy Police Department says the closure of the Quincy Memorial Bridge and the rerouting of traffic onto the Bayview Bridge has resulted in long lines of traffic at times.  Motorists are asked to be patient and allow extra time for travel.  Police also remind folks that pedestrian traffic is not allowed on the Memorial Bridge; please do not go past the barricades.

Highway 79 just south of Hannibal remains closed.

A portion of Route E in Ralls County is closed.

US 54 at the Champ Clark Bridge in Louisiana is closed.

MO 79 at Clarksville closed .

There is a bit of Good News today--  some river levels have crested or are near crest.    The Bad News is more rain is possible this coming week.

MISSISSIPPI RIVER:

Canton   23.1   feet this morning.  At predicted crest.  Flood stage is 14 feet.

Quincy   27.75 feet this morning.  Near predicted crest.  Flood stage is 17 feet.

Hannibal   27.62 feet currently, with a crest of 27.9 feet expected later today. Flood stage is 16 feet.

Louisiana   24.44 feet this morning with a crest at 25.4 feet  expected Monday.  Flood stage is 15 feet.

Clarksville  34.7 feet  this morning with a crest of 35.7 feet predicted Monday.  Flood stage is 25 feet.

The Middle Fabius River near Ewing crested at 21 feet yesterday, currently at 19.4 feet.  Flood stage is 12 feet.

The North Fabius near Ewing crested yesterday at 23 feet,  but has taken a steep dive to just above flood stage of 11 feet.

The South Fabius near Taylor crested Friday, currently at 14.4 feet.  Flood stage is 9.5 ft.
