In a press release, Quincy Police say that, with the Bayview Bridge open to two way traffic, with reduced lane width, farm machinery and large equipment cannot cross the bridge.

Starting Tuesday, large farm machinery can only cross the Bayview Bridge between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.

If you need to get farm equipment across the bridge, you will need to call the Quincy/Adams County Dispatch Center at 217-222-9360.

Officers will come to the bridge to block traffic so the equipment can cross. Please do not cross the bridge until the officer on scene or the dispatch center says you can do so.
