Did a Missouri Driveway Cam Really Capture a Mountain Lion?
If you live in Missouri and have a driveway cam, there's always the possibility that you'll spot unique creatures on it. That was the case for at least one Missouri driveway where a rather large cat was spotted. The question is whether or not it really was a mountain lion or something else.
I came across this video just today that dates back to March of 2022. Almost no one has apparently seen this video as it only has just over 100 views in 2 years, but there is an unusual looking cat that makes its way down this Missouri driveway that apparently is in the Lake of the Ozarks. See what you think this is that walks right between the vehicles.
This is the moment when this Missouri cat is most clearly visible and the low resolution of the video doesn't help clarify what we're looking at.
The Mountain Lion Foundation notes that one characteristic of a real mountain lion is a long and thick tail. Since whatever this creature happens to be is walking on pavement, there's no tracks where you can check paws and toe markings. When in doubt, I normally just assign a sighting like this as a regular house cat on the loose, but in this case that's a pretty good size cat if it is one.
Did this Missouri person really capture a mountain lion on their driveway camera? Perhaps someone else has video from late winter in 2022 in that part of Missouri to help clarify what this animal was.
