More People Are Riding Amtrak in Illinois

The number of Amtrak passengers is up more than 5.5 percent in Illinois during the last 11 months. Railroad officials say there were nearly 2 million passengers in the state. The Chicago-to-St. Louis route saw the biggest jump, with a nearly 11 percent increase in ridership.
