(QUINCY)-A Quincy man faces charges of filing a false police report following a shooting report in late August.

On August 27th, 22-year-old Jeffrey Pollack reported to police that an unknown assailant shot him in the hand while he was walking in an alley at 5th and College. The case was assigned to QPD detectives.

Pollack was arrested Monday for filing a false police report in connection with the incident. Police say Pollack is a felon and was also arrested for unlawful use of a weapon and reckless discharge of a firearm. A .22 caliber rifle believed used in the incident was recovered in Quincy’s Riverview Park.
