ST. LOUIS (AP) - Businesses that move products on the Mississippi River continue to look for government's help as the water level nears historic lows.

The Army Corps of Engineers last week began reducing the outflow from the upper Missouri River reservoir to ease drought conditions. The move will reduce the amount of water flowing into the Mississippi and could mean further barge restrictions, or perhaps even the closure of the River from St. Louis to Cairo, Ill.
