The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in northeast Missouri and western Illinois continued to increase over the weekend.

The Marion County Health Department reported its second and third confirmed cases of COVID-19 Sunday.

The latest cases are a female and a male, both age 40 to 50. Both are quarantined at home.

In Lewis County, health officials report four new positive cases of COVID-19.
The Lewis County cases are described as individuals between 60 and 70, 40 and 50, 20 and 30 and age 10 and 20.

Three of the four cases are household contacts.

Officials in Hancock County and Memorial Hospital in Carthage report they were notified of an additional lab-confirmed positive case of COVID-19 in a Hancock County resident.
The individual is in his 50s to 60s and is linked to a previous lab-confirmed positive case.
The individual has been hospitalized outside of Hancock County and the health department will be conducting contact tracing to investigate all possible exposures.
