Monroe City House Fire

Missouri Fire Marshal’s investigators are looking for the cause of a fire near Monroe City Wednesday afternoon. 

Monroe City and Palmyra firefighters battled the blaze a house at 3538 County Road 238. The initial alarm came in to the Monroe City fire department at 2 p.m.

Monroe City firefighters say the warm and windy conditions made firefighting more difficult. No injuries are reported. The house is a total loss.
