Missouri Senate Race–It’s Close

(UNDATED)--The latest poll shows the U.S. Senate race in Missouri in an apparent dead heat. The KMOV-TV “St. Louis Post-Dispatch-Kansas City Star” poll shows incumbent Democrat Claire McCaskill leading Republican challenger Todd Akin 47 to 45 percent. Poll takers say that difference between the two is within the poll’s margin of error of four percentage points. While McCaskill has a sizable lead among voters aged 18-to-34, Akin is on top by six points among independents who have already decided which candidate they will support.
