(Hannibal,Mo)--Conservative author Phyllis Schlafly spoke to a crowd of nearly 40 people Sunday afternoon at Hannibal LaGrange University.  She was among several speakers helping to kick off a 6-day bus tour throughout Missouri known as the "No McCaskill" tour, hoping to unseat incumbent Democratic Senator Claire McCaskill.  Schlafly says this race is vital for the Republicans…

McCaskill is opposed by Republican Todd Akin, who endured a firestorm of criticism after making controversial statements regarding “legitimate rape”.  Schlafly made it clear she has not waivered on her support for Akin…

State Representative Lindell Shumake was one of the rally speakers who outlined "clear differences" between the parties when it comes to conservative values. Those attending were given voter guides compiled by MissouriFamilyNetwork.net on various candidates and Missouri ballot measures.  Some purchased autographed books written by Schlafly as well.
