Missouri Lawmakers Pass Budget

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) - Missouri lawmakers have sent the governor a $24 billion budget a day ahead of a constitutional deadline. The budget given final approval today provides pay raises for state employees, taps a new dedicated funding stream for veterans' nursing homes and avoids cuts to public school districts and universities.
