Missouri Democrat Days Cancelled for 2019, Will Be Back Next Year

An annual event that has been a mainstay in Hannibal for over four decades will not take place this year.

This was to have been the weekend for the annual Missouri Democrat Days in Hannibal. But, local officials announced in January that the event would not take place in 2019.

Organizers cited the fact that the event’s long-time venue, the Hannibal Inn, could not offer a contract because negotiations are underway for the sale of the property.

But, organizers also say that they will be back better than ever in 2020.
Since 1972, Missouri Democrat Days has been a destination for local, statewide and national political leaders.
