Most crops in Missouri are doing well, but they’re still a bit behind last year at this time. The federal government’s weekly crop report shows corn around the state at 55 percent good to excellent and 31 percent fair. Soybeans were rated as 53 percent good to excellent and 34 percent fair. The crops were two to three weeks behind in the growth compared with July of last year. Meanwhile, the winter wheat harvest was 97 percent finished. That’s 20 days behind last year but the same as normal.
