A Quincy man who was reported missing Thursday afternoon was found unharmed in Iowa late Thursday night.

Adams County Sheriff’s deputies report 86 year old Arthur Pieper, who suffers from dementia, went missing about 4:30 p.m. after leaving a hair appointment at 27th and Monroe.

Pieper was found about a hundred miles away at the Hy-Vee store in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. He was looking for his daughter, who works in the Hy-Vee in Quincy.

A family member reported that Pieper had been found at 11:24 p.m. Thursday.
