Mickels Faces Charges in Quincy Battering Incident

A Hannibal woman waived her right to a preliminary hearing on charges filed in connection with a Quincy battering incident.

32 year old Katie Mickels is charged with home invasion, aggravated battery and possession of methamphetamine.

Mickels is alleged to have fled the scene of a traffic crash on North 12th Street in Quincy the night of August 2nd.

Later, a woman told police that an unknown woman had entered her home in the 1400 block of North 15th Street and battered her.

Mickels was taken into custody a short time later at 15th and Locust.

Her next court date is an arraignment hearing August 30th.

Mickels is in the Adams County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
