Melvin Indicted in Connection with Lyft Driver Assault

A Quincy man has been indicted on charges connected with an alleged assault on a Lyft driver last month.

Adams County State’s Attorney Gary Farha reports that a grand jury indicted 20 year old Kolter Melvin Thursday on one count each of aggravated battery and criminal sexual abuse.

Melvin is accused of grabbing and making sexually aggressive comments toward a female Lyft driver as she drove him to his destination February 17th.

Melvin is free on bond. He is expected to make his first court appearance next week.
