A Quincy man accused of robbing a McDonald’s restaurant last year pleaded guilty and was sentenced to prison in Adams County Circuit Court Friday.

As part of a plea deal, 29 year old Joseph Miller pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery and was immediately sentenced to seven-and-a-half-years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.

Miller is alleged to have walked into the McDonald’s at 1301 Broadway, told employees he had a gun and demanded money. He took $212 and fled.

Miller is also charged with robbery in a second McDonald’s stick-up last September in Princeton, Illinois.

An alleged accomplice in the Quincy robbery, 30 year old Valerie Thompson, is scheduled for a March jury trial on one count of robbery.
