Quincy Police announce the arrest of a homeless man in connection with a meth lab fire.

Officers took 32 year old Donald McClelland into custody at 11:28 a.m. Wednesday in a vacant apartment in the 400 block of Hampshire.

Quincy Police had been looking for McClelland since Friday in connection with an early morning incident at a residence at 517 Sycamore. Firefighters were told by an eyewitness that a man whose shirt was on fire had fled the residence on the second floor of the building. The fire had apparently been caused by a meth lab.

McClelland is charged with aggravated unlawful participation in methamphetamine manufacturing, possession of meth, possession of cannabis and retail theft.
McClelland is in the Adams County Jail awaiting his first court date.
