Man Arrested in Death of Woman in Louisiana Motel

A man wanted since October in connection with the death of a woman in a Louisiana motel is in custody.

Shane Parsons was taken into custody by authorities in Lincoln County Monday.

Parsons had been wanted by Louisiana Police since October 5^th.

Video footage shows Parsons and Staci Brown going into the River’s Edge Motel together, and Parsons leaving the motel the next morning alone.

Brown died during the time the two were together.

According to a probable cause statement, Parsons knew Brown was dead but failed to properly contact law enforcement or any other emergency personnel to report it.

Parsons was charged Tuesday with abandonment of a corpse and is being held in the Pike County Jail on $1-million dollars bond.
