Lewis County C-1 Schools Delay Open Until Monday

The opening of the new school year in the Lewis County C-1 School District has been delayed.

Superintendent John French announced Tuesday the first day of school for the Highland schools, which was to have been Thursday, has been delayed until Monday.

French cites a shortage of teachers and bus drivers as the reason for the postponement.

French there are no active COVID-19 cases among school staff, although there are school personnel under quarantine due to possible contact.
