Superintendent John French announced Tuesday the first day of school for the Highland schools, which was to have been Thursday, has been delayed until Monday.

French cites a shortage of teachers and bus drivers as the reason for the postponement.

French there are no active COVID-19 cases among school staff, although there are school personnel under quarantine due to possible contact.
