As a kid growing up in Missouri, I always wanted one of these cycles. It's considered one of the best first offroad motorcycles for the young, but now there's an urgent recall due to a dangerous defect that puts many Missouri kids in peril.

The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission just issued this urgent recall for several models of a popular offroad cycle widely available in Missouri and likely in many garages right now.

It's for Honda models CRF50F, CRF110F, and CRF125F. The bulletin says that 2023 and 2024 models have this dangerous issue:

"The grip can detach from the handlebar, posing crash and injury hazards."

There's already one serious knee injury that has been reported in connection to this Honda offroad cycle defect and the recall involves more than 40,000 bikes. These models were available in Missouri in red and white colors.

If you find that you have one of these models of Honda offroad cycles, you should stop your kids from using them immediately and contact the dealer where you got it from and have them do a free inspection and repair if needed.

If you have any issues with getting your cycle fixed, you can contact the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission to file a complaint.
