Kids in Motion Gets $8,000 from U.S. Bank Fundraiser
A Hannibal program for at-risk kids gets a financial boost from a fundraiser this fall.
Officials with U.S. Bank Monday presented the Kids in Motion program with a check for $8,040, the proceeds from a clay shoot hosted by the bank in September.
Kids in Motion Director Amy Vaughn says the money will go toward the matching amount of a challenge grant through the Riedel Foundation.
Kids in Motion is a service learning program for young people ages 12 to 15, serving about a hundred kids in Hannibal, Bowling Green and Louisiana, with plans underway to expand the program to Quincy.
