First time freshman enrollment at John Wood Community colleges is up for the new semester.
The school reports 37 more first-time freshmen on the first day of this semester. 411 students started classes this week. Total credit hour numbers are very similar to a year ago.

JWCC president Michael Elbe says “We have 16 new students in the new HVAC program, added enrollment in health sciences through medical assistant, nursing and surgical technology programs and have seen a slight increase in students from outside of the district.
