A disturbance at 24th and Jackson in Quincy at 4:40 Tuesday afternoon results in the arrest of one juvenile on a variety of charges.

Witnesses told Quincy Police that two males knocked another male to the ground and began beating him. The police report indicates one of the attackers took the victim’s wallet and ran. Police say bystanders chased down the suspects and detained them long enough to recover the victim’s wallet before they broke free and fled again.

Police say cash was missing from the wallet and that a 16-year-old male juvenile apprehended during the investigation had an item of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the Adams County Juvenile Detention Center.

That juvenile faces charges of robbery, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor. The second male juvenile remains at large.
