A western Illinois state senator has been appointed to serve on a new task force to address the issue of sexual discrimination and harassment in state government.

Senate Republican Leader Bill Brady announced Tuesday the appointment five GOP senators, including Jil Tracy of Quincy, to serve on the new Senate Task Force on Sexual Discrimination and Harassment Awareness and Prevention.

According to Brady, the task force will study and make recommendations on combating sexual discrimination and harassment in workplaces, educational institutions and in state and local government.
