The Illinois Department of Transportation has allocated more than $68.1 million for construction projects in the 47th Senate District during Fiscal Year 2020, according to State Sen. Jil Tracy (R-Quincy).

The 47th District Senator said 34 local projects are included in the state’s Highway Improvement Program for Fiscal Year 2020. The six-year plan also proposes additional funding of more than $412 million for 88 other local projects slated for FY 2021-2025.

The big projects include painting and a deck overlay for the Quincy Memorial Bridge, inspection and deck sealing on the Bayview Bridge, resurfacing on Highway 57 from Quincy to south of Marblehead and replacement of the Mill Creek at Marblehead.
