The former Hannibal elementary school principal accused of heroin possession was in court Friday morning.

33 year old J.D. Foust’s attorney asked for a reduction of his client’s $100,000 bond to something more affordable.

Judge John Jackson did not rule on the request. That’s expected to happen at a preliminary hearing April 13th.

Foust is charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. He was arrested February 18th after task force agents found heroin in a coat that belonged to Foust during a search of his residence.

Foust was also scheduled to be in court Friday afternoon in a civil matter. His wife has asked for an order of protection against him.
