Eating is fun! Who doesn't love to eat everything on-site at a festival, fair, or on vacation? USA Today released the top 10 food festivals in the nation and an Illinois festival made the list.

Bring on the Taste of Chicago Food Festival. Each year, thousands of foodies come to try all the different food vendors from all over the country, and USA Today thinks so too. They just named Taste of Chicago one of the best to try yearly.

This year the festival will be held over Labor Day Weekend, so if you're thinking about a weekend away to Chicago, this would be the weekend to go. The festival is more than just food. There is live music all weekend, dancing, and vendors selling goods. It's just a fun place to be on an end-of-summer weekend.

Other festivals that made the list are

  • Hot Luck Live Food & Music - Austin, Texas
  • International Taste Festival - Syracuse, NY
  • World Food Championships - Indianapolis, Indiana
  • World Food & Music Fest - Des Moines, Iowa
  • Queens Night Market - Queens, NY

I could do some of these festivals but  I like what I like and am not a big fan of trying new things. You almost would have to just get your money's worth and try everything. You could put together a foodie road trip to try all of these festivals and have a really big appetite.
