Although no charges have been filed, the investigation of misconduct continues regarding outgoing Adams County Coroner Jim Keller.
According to the Herald-Whig, Adams County State’s Attorney Gary Farha is now calling for a special prosecutor to investigate allegations of official misconduct and unlawful delivery of controlled substance.

Keller had also come under fire recently for how indigent burials were handled.

Officials say Keller has not been handling any coroner-related duties since late June; in fact he is locked out of all county systems and buildings. He submitted a letter of resignation effective July 10th.

Keller has served as coroner since 2011 and has been with the Coroner’s office since 1988.
