Illinois State Police in District 20 has announced a summary of district activity for 2012.

The District, headquartered in Pittsfield, includes the counties of Adams, Brown, Pike, Schuyler and Scott.


Last year, the troopers handled more than 15,000 incidents. 112 people were arrested for driving under the influence. There were 484 criminal arrests made and nearly 7,000 people were cited for various offenses.

District-wide, there were 10 fatal crashes in 2012 that killed 11 people. Alcohol was a factor in two of those crashes.  The District’s five-year fatal crash average is 9.4.
