Illinois State Police February Enforcement Totals

Illinois State Police say they responded to 854 service requests in District 20 during February.

That total includes 81 assists for motorists with disabled vehicles or in need of assistance on highways. Traffic enforcement activity resulted in a dozen alcohol related arrests including six citations for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. A total of 331 citations were issued on Fatal Four violations of speeding, occupant restraint, distracted driving and DUI. District 20 troopers say seat belt enforcement zone details, speed enforcement details and roadside safety checks are planned through this month.
