Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White announces he will not run for re-election.

White first served as Secretary of State in 1998 and since then served a record breaking five terms in office.

Officials with White’s office say he will continue work with the Jesse White Tumbling Team that he founded in 1959.

The Secretary of State’s office is the second largest constitutional office in Illinois. The office generates $2 billion dollars each year for Illinois.
