8 Illinois KFC Locations Closed Forever this Week With No Warning

This is not what you want to hear if you love fried chicken fast and live in Illinois. At least 8 locations in the state closed permanently this week and it appears they did so with no warning whatsoever.

I saw this report just shared by Yahoo News. They say that according to former restaurant employees there are 8 Illinois KFC locations which have shut their doors for good. They say that the following locations have closed in Peoria, Illinois:

• 1106 Peoria St., Washington
• 8905 N. Allen Road, Peoria
• 5601 S. Washington St., Bartonville
• 927 W. Jackson St., Morton
• 3485 E. Court St., Pekin

WGN in Chicago added 3 other KFC locations in Illinois that closed this week:

• 1502 Kilburn Avenue, Rockford, Illinois
• 3035 11th Street, Rockford, Illinois
• 1586 West Lane Road, Machesney Park

The Yahoo News story said that parent company Yum had confirmed the closings. As this is a developing story, it will be updated once new information is provided. It's entirely possible that other Illinois KFC's have closed also and they will be added to this story if verified.
