Illinois Governor Pat Quinn Applauds Obama’s Gun Proposals

Governor Pat Quinn is standing with President Barack Obama in calling on Congress to enact strong gun control measures.In a statement yesterday, Quinn says lawmakers shouldn't wait another day to pass legislation to help prevent tragedies like the recent shooting in Connecticut. The governor also has called on Illinois lawmakers to pass an assault weapons ban.
