A counsel status hearing is Wednesday set for a Curryville man charged with distributing a controlled substance near schools.

The suspect is identified as Abraham Adams Senior. He was arrested after a raid last October at his home.

Authorities reported they seized 28 morphine pills and cash. The raid was part of an ongoing investigation by the Pike County Sheriff’s Department and included assistance from the East Central Drug Task Force and the Missouri Highway Patrol.
