The Historic Hannibal Marketing Council goes all in to celebrate Halloween with downtown’s first Halloween festival this weekend.

The idea for a full weekend of Halloween activities came from the Mark Twain Dinette’s Kenna Bogue and her family, remembering their days in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, when a major thoroughfare was closed for trick or treaters.

The weekend begins Friday night with a Ghouls Night Out event downtown. There will be Living Dead Windows and a Pet Parade Saturday night.

The weekend continues with Hannibal Parks and Rec’s Pumpkins in the Park in Nipper Park Sunday afternoon.

Then, on Halloween night, the Marketing Council, the Hannibal Jaycees, and the Hannibal Police Department will all have trick or treat and trunk or treat events in the downtown area.
