On December 12 and 13, the Hannibal History Museum at 200 N. Main will be transformed into a magical wonderland to celebrate all things wizards. You’ll be sorted into your wizard group, make your own wand, and mingle with characters from the best-selling book and movie series. You can pose for a picture with some of the characters that you know and love. You’re encouraged to getting into the spirit by dressing up as your favorite character.

If you’ve never had a butter drink you are truly missing out. It is magical nectar. The Museum will be serving butter beer and popcorn. The gift shop will be stocked with all your chocolate favorites from the movie.

The Merry Potter Celebration is a fundraiser for the Hannibal History Museum. Admission is $5. Hours on Saturday, Dec. 12 are from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.  On Sunday, Dec. 13 the hours are 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Saturday’s event coincides with Living Windows in Historic Downtown Hannibal. It’s a hugely popular event that draws hundreds of people downtown to see interactive displays in the windows of the stores. Living Windows happens on Dec. 12 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
