Free Sports Physicals for Hannibal Athletes
With all sports and activities back in the cards for the fall school year (fingers crossed!) the Hannibal School district is ramping up for the season with free physicals for students.
It’s not just athletes who need physical exams for the 2021-2022 school year. They are also a requirement for members of the River City Review and students who are in the marching band in junior high and high school.
The free physicals will be offered on May 18. Hours are from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Korf Gymnasium on the Hannibal High School Campus. It is available for all students who reside in the Hannibal Public School district. The current grades that require physicals are 6th grade through 11th grade.
You must schedule your free physical. Registration is limited and spots are filling fast. To reserve an appointment, call Advance Physical Therapy at (573) 406-0576. I’ve taken advantage of the free physicals in the past for my daughters who participated in Hannibal sports. They are quick and easy, they save you money, and they allow you to check off another item on your to-do list. But yes, the available times do go fast, so don’t wait to make that call if you’re wanting to secure a spot for your child.
The free sports and activities physicals clinic is sponsored by Advance Physical Therapy, Clarity Health Service, Hannibal Clinic, and Hannibal Regional.
In the meantime, the Hannibal School District is planning a 5.5 million dollar upgrade to its athletic facilities. Improvements are planned for the football stadium and the baseball, soccer and softball fields. You can learn more about the Pirate Pride Project by clicking here.
