In case you haven't heard, Hannibal High School has some stunning new turf installed as new aerial pics show taken high above the field.

Big thanks to Flying Squirrel Aerial Optics for sharing these pics they just dropped on Facebook. As you can see, this new field is state-of-the-art.

As the Hannibal Courier-Post reported back in April, this new turf is part of upgrades planned by the Hannibal School District. A track expansion to 8 lanes is also in the works. Baseball, soccer and softball fields are also part of the upgrade big picture.

I must confess that I have my own personal reasons for being gleeful about the Hannibal Pirates stomping Jeff City Helias 54 - 20 last week and am equally hoping they dominate Jefferson City this coming Friday night. I can't wait to see the Black and Red take the field under the lights on this glorious new green.

Don't forget you can also listen to all the Hannibal Pirate Football games on the radio, too.
