Just when you thought it was safe to listen to the radio again...

If you've been listening to KHMO for the last week-and-a-half, you know that I've returned, for the third time, to the NewsTalk 1070 airwaves.

I left last December to take over as News Director of a group of radio stations in Branson, MO and Harrison, AR. Then, recently, an intersection of professional and personal considerations made it practical to come back. Yeah, I know that sounds like double-talk. If you see me out and about and really want to know details that bad, I'll fill you in.

I've always been a big fan of Branson, and when the chance came to work there, we had to check it out. If you've been there, you know it's quite a town. I knew I was truly in a very different place the time I went to the local frozen custard stand and saw Bill Medley (yes, the Righteous Brothers Bill Medley) and his kids waiting in line. And, yes, we got to rub elbows with the likes of Kenny Rogers, Billy Dean, Jimmy Osmond, Clay Cooper, Doug Gabriel and others. I also learned all the alternate routes to get around 76 Country Boulevard.

And, while I'm grateful for the experience, in the end, it's better to be home. This area is where I was born and raised. This is where family is.

It's good to be home. See you on the radio.
