A Hannibal woman suffers moderate injuries in a four vehicle chain reaction crash on northbound Interstate 35 in Clay County at 4:20 p.m. Tuesday.

The Highway Patrol reports 55 year old Darlene Root of Hannibal had slowed down in a construction zone. Her car was rear ended by a pickup driven by a Meriden, Kansas man. The pickup struck an SUV, which was pushed into another car.

Root and the driver of the SUV suffered moderate injuries. Root was taken to North Kansas City Hospital for treatment.
