As the effort to get the COVID vaccine in the arms of northeast Missourians continues, Hannibal Regional has been designated as a leader in the effort.

On Monday, Governor Mike Parson announced that Hannibal Regional Healthcare System is among a select group of facilities statewide and the lead distribution point in northeast Missouri for COVID vaccinations.

To receive the special designation from the governor, a hospital has to have the capability to administer 5,000 doses of vaccine per week.

Hannibal Regional has scheduled a vaccination clinic by appointment only for Thursday, February 4th and started taking appointments Tuesday afternoon.

If you meet the criteria to receive your first COVID shot, you can make an appointment by calling 573-629-3570 or go to Hannibalregional.org.
